Finger painting madness
Tomorrow, 3rd, we are shooting some of our scenes within our cell set. Today we finished creating that set. It involved wallpapering over three flats. Then to make it look like a run down asylum we finger painted using fake blood and green and brown paint. By the end of the day we were all covered in fake blood which would not wash of! Although the finished product was worth it. For this set we wanted one feature wall to look very realistic. To create the brick like effect we experimented with expanding foam on carpet and then painted it. This was a long grueling experiment but we ended up being very happy with it. We also painted a bed frame white and spent time making it look rusted and abused. This involved picking off the paint in places and then using browns, blacks and fake blood to make it look old. We then set up ready for tomorrows bright and early shoot.
