Paging Dr Evil
Our final ever shoot in the studio was on Friday. It was the treatment room scenes, where Anna received ECT (scene 2) and eventually a lobotomy (scene 18). The shoot was a big success with some heart wrenching moments that even one of our team members could not quite block out. We also filmed our new scenes which I wrote to help the cohesion of the project. This was in a dark studio with only red lights and smoke. It is to signal the fogginess of Anna's mind when on the medication at the asylum. These scenes will be cut between in some scenes, especially scene 6.
NEW SCENES SCRIPT SAMPLE:
CUT AWAY, SCENE 6
INT. ANNA’S MIND.
ANNA opens her eyes. The place is dark and foggy, making it difficult to see. A unease passes over her. A confused look on her face she turns around taking in her environment. As the fear starts to set in she turns faster and faster panicking now. DR. CHARLES appears behind her. Moving around her laughing as he goes. ANNA turns with him, terror on her face. DR. CHARLES walks away into the fog. ANNA starts to slow her breathing down.
ROWAN (whispering)
Don’t trust him. Don’t trust him. Don’t trust him.
ANNA starts to panic again, spinning wildly to see who is talking. Slowly ROWAN walks through the fog towards her.
ROWAN
Don’t trust him. Don’t trust him. Don’t trust him.
CUT AWAY, SCENE 16
INT. ANNA’S MIND.
ROWAN stands in her blue floral dress in a foggy dark space. Sadness fills her face.
ROWAN
I miss my family, I miss my Annie. ANNA. Yes. I need to save her. I need to save ANNA
ANNA slowly walks towards her out of the fog. She walks around ROWAN trying to gauge if she is real. She backs away.
ROWAN
I need to save her. I need to save her
ANNA slowly fades into the fog.
Now that we have all the footage we need we will spend the next month focusing on editing, post production and sound to create a final piece that we are all happy with.
